Digit, an innovative B2B SaaS company creating a next-generation cloud inventory and manufacturing platform for small and mid-sized manufacturers, has announced the close of a $2.5 million oversubscribed seed round. The round was led by Assembly Ventures and also included Hyde Park Angels (HPA) and Grand Ventures — each bringing powerful, complementary expertise, and manufacturing connections from their bases in Detroit, Chicago, and Grand Rapids, respectively.
This funding will enable us to fast-track product development, double our engineering team, grow our sales team, and continue to provide high-touch customer support as we scale to meet growing demand. Designed for manufacturers based directly on their needs, our platform merges essential tools — inventory management, MES, MRP, WMS, and soon CRM — into one cohesive operating system. We stand apart by offering a streamlined, intuitive experience that challenges the complexity and rigidity of legacy ERPs.
"Our mission is to empower manufacturers to break free from outdated and clunky ERP solutions that are rigid, costly, difficult to implement, and fail to adapt to evolving needs," said Dan Koukol, CEO and co-founder of Digit. "With this funding, we’re focused on making Digit the go-to operating system for manufacturing — a platform that combines power with flexibility to drive real, measurable impact for our customers."
"Digit’s passion to modernize ERP for manufacturing is real and incredibly impressive," said Chris Thomas, board director at Digit and Co-Founder and Partner at Assembly Ventures. "Their commitment to proactive operations and providing a competitive edge is genuine, and we’re excited to team up with Dan and the entire Digit team to create a truly transformative product that revolutionizes American manufacturing processes."
Our seed round investors bring invaluable industry expertise, with Assembly Ventures, HPA, and Grand Ventures each focused on the importance of providing solutions to North America and the Western world’s manufacturing sector and providing connections to key industry players along with extensive sector knowledge. Alongside their operating partners, each has already helped to shape Digit’s go-to-market strategy, recruit top talent, and accelerate growth and product development. Today we are focused on empowering manufacturing and distribution companies across a variety of sectors and sub-sectors.
Our platform emphasizes rapid onboarding, with user-friendly setup tools, and a dedicated support team that understands the complexities of each manufacturing environment. Since our spring 2024 launch, we've rapidly gained traction across manufacturing and distribution sectors like recycling, plastics, food & beverage, and insulation, with new capital poised to accelerate our mission of giving SMB manufacturers the solutions they deserve.
